Bear and its cub pendant

Thursday, June 6, 2013

This sterling silver pendant with my signature ornament inspired by the folk Russian ornaments. This pendant tells a story... It is a bear with a cub from the ornament on a Russian carved wooden box. I placed these bears in my own imaginary forest. This forest is in Canada... Definitely, Canada :) The green heart of BC Jade (jade mined in British Columbia) indicates that :) This is also a night forest. Tiny black with a star diopside shows that. I could not catch the star on the stone, but it is there (if you get the pendant you will easily see it)
The pendant is slightly concaved.

The size of the pendant is 4,5cm * 4cm (1 3/4" * 1 1/2").

She made my day! Thank you Irina!

I like to play the designer games with other designers who work in techniques that I do not work in myself. Irina Belinskaya whom I have just mentioned recently has finished an old project... I made the findings from the above picture (brass with enamel and the stones are being held by silver snaptites. The stones are cubic zirconia and sapphire imitations). Irina made this fantabulous necklace with them:

I told her that I did not claim any credits. This is absolutely sincere statement. No credits to me, please. I am just happy to see that she used my findings in something as fabulous as this piece!

This is love...

Gift exchange with a fabulous bead artist

Friday, May 17, 2013

As any artist I gladly do gift exchanges with my artist-friends. Today I will show what my friend Irina Belinskaya, who is a jewellery designer in Moscow (Russia) made for me.

I asked for a versatile pin. Irina went a few steps further and made an art piece that could be worn as a pin... or a bracelet... or a pendant... or a hair pin... with the earrings, of course! (I managed to find one more way of wearing!)

I found a bead necklace that I made a few years ago... and tried my new pin with it... They look like they were meant for each other, don't they?

Stackable rings with the sea creatures

Sunday, May 12, 2013

My collection of pendants and earrings with the sea creatures needed some addition... I thought that stackable  rings would be great to add to this sea line! Originally I thought people would get them to add to their own collection of existing stackable  rings with the stones. However... all my sea creatures look great just being worn together! Mmmm...
The rings are available in my etsy store

Here are a few more ways of stacking the rings:

Fun piece for you... if you dare :)

Monday, April 1, 2013

I have not written anything in my blog for a while... that does not mean that I do nothing here :) Lots of new earrings are waiting for a decision... and lots of interesting things are being photographed for my etsy store. For example, this pendant. I sell this style jewellery very very not often :) The pendants are so unusual, that not many women dare to wear them... I would say, unfortunately. However, those who do... can be absolutely sure they are going to... have lots of interesting conversations with lots of people :) It is a fun piece for a fun loving new owner... who can find it here :)

The Dragon's Eye

Wednesday, February 6, 2013

Well, I am a little bit too late :) This was supposed to be finished by August 2012. I have 5 or 6 more that are still not finished. I am not sure that I want to... This brooch is sooo bright and takes all the attention from a person who wears it... that nobody will probably want it anyway. Anyway... it is done, and it is a pretty object :)

Chrysocolla with malachite cabochon

I've received this fabulous stone today! Hm.... What should I make with it?.. Hm...

Silver pendant with tourmalated quartz

Wednesday, November 28, 2012

Again, one more small pendant as an any-day-jewellery-piece. Cute, elegante and moderately sparkly pendant... with another drop-shaped stone... I think I am officially in love with this shape of the gems. Whanever I think of making an elegant feminine piece of jewellery... my hand is stretching for a drop-shaped stone... I just need to remember to use small cute gems, so I do not end up with something like this :)

Purple sugilite pendant

Friday, November 16, 2012

This beautiful deep purple sugilite is one of my favourite stones. The shape of it inspired me to make a peacock feather with it... but I did not :) I felt that it needed to be used for a pendant that could be worn any day of the week... it would be a shame to hide such a nice stone waiting for a special occasion. So, here it is! If you are local and interested in it, check out Just Jewellery, as this is where I placed it for sale. Otherwise, let me know and I will check if it is still available.
