Runway 2011, Vancouver

Tuesday, January 25, 2011

Full credit for these picture goes to Keith Walters, the photographer who did a great job during the catwalk at the Vancouver Fashion Week 2010, and took all these great shots!

I was also very thankful to the coordinators who paired my jewellery with Papillon, local fashion company, whose designs I happened to just love! They look great together, don't they?

Amethist pendant

Wednesday, January 19, 2011

Getting ready for my Advanced Stone Setting Class is a good reason to make one-of-a-kind piece of jewellery. This pendant is made of silver, copper and brass with an amethist.

My husband had a funny reaction to this pendant.
- Is this a real diamond?
- No, this is a real amethist.
- Hm... Fake diamond?
- No! A REAL amethist! :)

Canadian labradorite pendant

Saturday, January 8, 2011

Most of labradorite stones come from Madagascar nowadays. This one is from Labrador, the area that gave the name to the stone.

Some times I make jewellery for my personal "not-for-sale"collection. This pendant is one of those pieces.
