Chain Making class

Sunday, April 25, 2010

The two-day class is over... I am very happy I had it scheduled. It was a lot of fun! The class decided to be a "chain making party" :) They were very productive too and made many fabulous chains! I hope to meet all of them again one day!

Jewellery contest

Sunday, April 18, 2010

Irina Astratenko started a new seed bead contest at her web-site. A few previous her contests were exceptionally successful.

This is a brooch contest made of seed beads or mostly seed beads. The contest is supported by the International Association of Jewellery Designers “Art-Biser”.

To learn more about the contest and prizes visit Irina’s web-site:

Seed bead custom order

This is a custom order... very unusual for me. I have not touched the seed beads for years. Though I did not say no, as I wanted to see if I still could handle something that tiny :)
The funny thing is... I've stopped doing beading years ago, but this is my first seed bead custom order ever!

Little Insects

Sunday, April 11, 2010

Small collection of insects made of copper and silver with gem stones are completed!

Decorative clasps

Saturday, April 10, 2010

New class is designed for the Mountain Gems. Decorative clasps 3-day course, 8th, 15th and 22nd of May (3 Saturdays), 2010. Price $195.00

Come to this three-day course on Saturdays and learn how to make three clasps: a ball catch, lentil- and box- clasp that can either decorate a custom-made piece of jewellery or become a centre piece of a truly unique necklace or a bracelet. The interior locking mechanisms will stay from the sight of a viewer and give an illusion of non existence of a clasp. Advanced knowledge of Silversmithing is required.

1st day – demo on making a ball-catch
2nd day – demo on making a box clasp
3rd day – demo on making a lentil clasp
