10 Ways to Feed a Starving Artist
Dangerous Lee gathered the ideas from the artists on "the ways to feed a starving artist". I was one of those who entered the research to gave their tips.
This was mine: "I know very few artists who can make money just one way. Most likely you will be successful if you can set a few different streams of income. Go to craft fairs, sell in the galleries, have a blog and build your online presence. Sell online through web-sites like Etsy, Dawanda and Zibbet (choose only one or you will have zero free time if you are trying to be everywhere).
Take commissions. Consider teaching your art, as teaching is actually a very good source of income. Constantly create new work, you need a lot of it to get noticed. The most important, do not give up."
Visit Lee's article to read what others had to say, here is the link again.
