Why not just donate the money direct to the AIDS charity/research foundation I wonder?
You know, just a couple of days ago my thoughts were driven to the same direction (perhaps inspired by this beautiful, but useless item, I do not remember) that if I were rich it would be embarrassing for me to buy and wear ridiculously expensive jewellery with the world so imperfect...
