I keep Christmas cards from one year to the next then make gift tags out of them. Last year we lost 2 very dear family friends so their final Christmas cards took pride of place & will be displayed every year from now on. Gone but never forgotten.
We did something similar in high school. We would get a notebook and fold each page into a triangle, so you cannot see what is written inside. Then you give this notebook to people and they write something in it and on the outside of their triangle message they would write a date and time when you should open it. It was fun at that time! :)
Yes, especially if the cards are very old (this is what I have). My life has changed so much that only those cards remind me that it was different some time ago...

Haha that's a really cute quote to go with your squirrel necklace!
I save greeting cards, but not sealed. That might be something fun to do, though! Such a fun quote to go with your necklace.
How sweet! ^.^

This is a wonderful story; and the idea for using the old cards for the tags is great. Thank you for sharing both!
You're more than welcome!
I also save greeting cards.)
I have some old cards too. I have not kept new ones, but I might start doing it now, since Kate shared her idea to use them for the gift tags :)
Indeed!

Thank you, Katie! :)
That squirrel is too cute. I used to save old cards but haven't in a while. It's nice to go through the old ones though!
