Should you wear silver and gold together?

Tuesday, June 24, 2014

Believe it or not, but people still ask this question! Silver and gold together used to be a big "no-no". It is still for some people.

Well, if you strictly believe in this rule, you should stick to it! Why not? If it makes you comfortable to wear only one metal at a time, this is your choice! And your style. Style is more important than fashion, after all (this is my personal opinion).
However...

If you like staying tuned to fashion, mix the metals! Mixing metals is fun :) This is one of the ways to make your outfit visually interesting without adding too much color... an elegant way.

Should you mix your jewelry made of different metals? Yes! They do not need to match, they need to go together. You can also get jewelry that is already made of mixed metals! Many designers love making mixed metals jewelry :)

I never used to like Silver and Gold together until recently! Now I love it!

When I was younger, I would NEVER wear the two. It was always one or the other, but now, I don't mind the look of the mixture at all. I still prefer silver color better, though, and I like white gold. =0)

I didn't like yellow gold at all when I was younger, but it slowly grew on me! The only pair of earrings I own with both is silver skulls over a gold heart.

Good for you, it is more fun like this! :)

I like silver more too. Big flashy gold jewellery cannot really be worn with anything. However, a big silver piece of jewelry can be worn to pretty much any occasion!
