Sketch for my fantastic Plume Agate. A pendant not to be made! :)

Thursday, May 22, 2014

I was fortunate to come across this gorgeous Rose Plume Agate cut by a local lapidary artist. I am still thinking what do with it. Yes, even though I have a nice sketch for it, I am still thinking! :) It is a big stone, so a frame like this makes it a big pendant! Unless somebody actually asks for this pendant to be custom made, I will most likely make something else with the stone. Sometimes, I have to draw a sketch to see if I want to make this piece of jewelry... In this case... I won't dare :)

Creative Summer Outfit :)

Tuesday, May 20, 2014

I started creating this summer outfit with a necklace (of course!). It is a big dragonfly made of copper and silver. Its eyes are blue topazes and the center stone is natural turquoise. I decided it to be a pastel outfit (thanks to the turquoise!) and looked through the dresses... A dress with the birdies is absolutely perfect for a dragonfly pendant! What a match! :) I love how much fun a simple summer outfit can become with just simple things like that.

Double feature on the front page of Etsy again!

There is magic in my virtual jewelry box... happens sometimes ;) If you are occasionally dropping by my humble blog (well... we do not count bragging... I do not have thousands of visitors, this is the only reason why it is humble, lol), then you know Anna and Irina who make amazing Gift Guide (on Fridays) and Interior Design Guide (on Sundays) for my blog. Guess what! They both have been chosen among other front page curators on Monday! Both of them had my jewelry featured in their fantastic treasuries! I got so much promotion! (it is my blog that is humble, not me! lol)... anyway, you can tell I am slightly glad :)) Thank you Etsy again!

Here they are! (You may open them bigger by clicking on them)

Life is beautiful. Please remember :)

Monday, May 19, 2014

A couple of days ago my husband was going through the channels and stopped at one of the "Family Feud" shows just at the end of it. They asked 100 people a question "on a scale from 1 to 10 how interesting is your life?" The most popular answer was "one"!

If you feel the same, this inspirational quote is for you! (Click on the picture to make it bigger)

My Gems. Sonora Dendritic Rhyolite Cabochon

Thursday, May 15, 2014

Sonora Dendritic Rhyolites are often very interesting as they have fantastic pattern through the stone. This is one of the stones that I really appreciate and can always convince myself that I need "one more" any time :)
The second stone is pietersite.

I do not use this wire leaf design a lot, but I do love it very much. While this design has not been made (possibly, yet), I have found a few designs that I had made already. Here they are:

The stone is a custom cut petrified (peanut) wood cabochon. The stone is rather rare, so if you are looking for a piece of jewellery that is not common, it is still for sale in my etsy shop.

This is an unpolished natural quartz crystal bead. Yes, it is drilled (I know it is important for some people).

Long silver earrings with green chalcedony. They are also available in my etsy shop.

I think, this piece was actually the very first one when I used this leaf design. It was a custom made pendant from awhile ago (as you can see the terrible picture from when I could not take a good photo to save my life :)

Interior Design Idea + Victoria Semykina's art

I've found this lovely Interior Design in Victoria's online shop and wanted to save it in my blog. I am in love with the arm-chair! Of course, Victoria's blue gramophone picture looks like an important element of the design too! It also awakes some well-hidden memories... something from what feels like a "previous life"... (that almost is, considering 30 years plus... since I was a child)... I do not really know how to awaken them... and maybe I should not... a fantasy might be better than the real memory was... not as magical :)
