I've always liked good quality cameos & wear Mum's ring & earrings quite a lot but the standard is nothing like this unfortunately! The blush pink is beautiful as well.

I would wear something like this... Maybe I will have to make one for myself, as I cannot afford to buy a museum quality cameo :)

That's where second-hand/charity shops and pawn shops come in! They often have good quality jewellery left in for sale by families of deceased. And I do like secondhand jewellery - it's lovely to wonder about the lives of the people who have worn something before you.

I've got a really dainty Victorian engagement ring that I picked up quite reasonablly: 18ct yellow gold, 2 x .25 carat brilliamt cut diamonds and a larger centre stone of a cornflower blue sapphire. i absolutely fell in love with it when I saw it in a pawn shop window. When we broke up he got the new washing machine & I kept the ring!

I would go for a sapphire too :)

The only problem with the pawn shops is that you have to look through so many things to find something. I think I only tried once... It was a good shop too. I was buying silver for melting there and just looked around... just gold junk with no art value, alas. I realized I could not stand it :)
